Merrie Mizaras, Producing Artistic Director

Merrie has been participating in local theater for nearly 40 years. She is a graduate of Boston University. She began performing with Middleborough Little Theater during the 60's, was a supporting member of the Haight Ashbury Theatre Company in San Francisco, and an ensemble actor with Theatre One Productions during the 80's. She has also performed at Your Theatre in New Bedford, the Country Club Players of Randolph, the Gateway Players in Wareham and at fund-raisers for the Star Players of Taunton. As a founding member of this company, along with performing in Picasso at the Lapin Agile, I Hate Hamlet, Moon Over Buffalo, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Lion in Winter, Sylvia, Death Defying Acts and The Women, she has been the general manager, grant writer and principal fundraiser.

Dr. Rober Rashid, Chairman

Rober was pleased to be invited to join NRPÕs Board of Trustees after being a major Sponsor of NRP for many years. Growing up in Illinois in a family devoted to the arts, he was happy to discover, on moving to Middleboro in 1997, that he had found a Town in which he could become immersed in many satisfying community activities. Dr. Rashid is both a team sponsor and chiropractor to the Cobras (football team), as well as a member of the Middleboro Rotary Club, the Elks and a very proud member of the ShrinerÕs Transportation Group. This organization offers transit to patients and their families to any of the burn centers sustained by the latter organization. Dr. Rashid is the principal chiropractor and owner of GudmundssonÕs Chiropractic on Anderson Avenue, Middleborough.

Tracy Renee Miller, Treasurer/Clerk

Tracy founded Gazelle Feng Shui in 1997. Since that time, she has grown her practice to includeÊresidential and business clients throughout the U.S. She is a popular lecturer on the topic of feng shui and has presented programs for the International Facilities Managers Association; the Rotary Club; the Sherwin Williams Company; the Mid-South Business Roundtable and the American Institute of Architects.Ê Ms. Miller is also a dedicated dancer of Argentine Tango, an amateur musician, and admirer of all things French. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia and enjoys creative writing. ÊShe publishes a weekly feng shui newsletter for the Middleboro Gazette giving tips and advice.Ê CurrentlyÊMs. Miller is also the producer/hostess ofÊa cable program "Natural Living" featured on Comcast (Channel 9) onÊWednesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings. Ê

Eleanor Osborne

Eleanor is a Boston University graduate, School of Fine Arts, has a BA from Bridgewater State College, taught English and Drama, Middleboro High School, Director of Speech and Theatre Workshop for 20 years, has sung with Handel and Haydn Society, Chorus Pro Musica, Festival Chorus of Pittsburgh Symphony, and currently performing with New England Conservatory's Camerata. Since 2002 has been the Film Coordinator of Herring Run ArtsFest, is currently a Trustee of Middleboro Public Library, was the First Chairperson of Middleboro Cultural Council, and has been on NRP Board since 2005. Loves the ARTS!

Neil Rosenthal

Neil is a lifelong resident of the area. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bridgewater State College and a MasterÕs degree in English from the University of Connecticut. A former Middleboro selectman and School Committee member, Mr. Rosenthal has served on a number of town building committees and is currently a member of the Capital Planning Committee and Business and Industrial Commission. A local businessman, he has been a supporting member and sponsor of Nemasket River Productions for many years.

Jane Lopes

Jane is the editor of The Middleboro Gazette and has been a journalist for more than 40 years. She has a BachelorÕs degree in history and philosophy from Bridgewater State College and completed advanced course work in historical archaeology at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is the chairman of the Middleboro Historical Commission and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Massachusetts Archaeological Society, the Board of Directors of the Soule Homestead Education Center and the Eddy Homestead, and the vestry of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Taunton. She is also past president of the Middleboro Rotary Cub.

Helena Bolster Marcotte

Helena has been involved in Public Speaking /Drama from the age of 6 years. She graduated from Cambridge Latin HS and was awarded a scholarship in public speaking. She continued her education in Drama at Mt. Ida College. After graduation, Helena became a Flight Attendant for National Airlines and lived in Miami. She later married her High School Sweetheart and they moved to Sharon and had 5 children. The children were active in the Arts and Drama programs at Ursline A. and Sharon High. In Sharon, Helena was a founding member of FAME [Friends of Art and Music Education] which still exists today. She is a certified YOGA teacher and taught in Sharon/Canton. While raising her family she became a MONTESSORI Teacher at Cornell University in Ithaca, N Y. and completed all requirements to open her own Montessori School in W. Bridgewater. She feels it is a privilege to be a member of NRP'S Board of Trustees.
