Characters: 3 men/ 3 women. All but Caitlin are Italian-American. Nick is 2nd generation; his grandparents were immigrants to this land of opportunity. Older characters do not have to be played by old actors, but actors who can convincingly play and look old.

Nick - late 20's, early 30's. A young man looking to change his prospects...and his future.
Frank - Nick's maternal grandfather, 70's/80's.
Nunzio - Nick's paternal grandfather, 70's/80's.

Aida - Nick's maternal grandmother, 70's.
Emma - Nick's paternal grandmother, 70's.
Caitlin - A disarmingly attractive girl in her mid to late-20's.

The play:

Nick is a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey. His parents retired and moved to Florida. Both sets of grandparents, of course, still live in Jersey, where he dutifully comes every Sunday for a sumptuous and noisy meal. Then one day Nick tells his grandparents he's been offered a dream job in Seattle that will take him away... far away. His disheartened grandparents despair of the family breaking up and thus begins a series of schemes to keep Nick around. This leads the grandparents to bring in the lovely - and single - Caitlin O'Hare as bait. The play is an Italian-American Neil Simon-ish family comedy. It's very funny, but it also touches the right sentimental chord of family ties and inevitable change.
